Congrats Bellevue Teachers!

It seems to be back to class for the Bellevue school district. The teachers reached an agreement with the district yesterday evening, and both sides seem very pleased to have the whole thing over. The word in the paper (and from other sources) says that both curriculum and pay remained sticking points for some time. However, both sides were eventually able to come to an agreement. I believe that the Bellevue Teachers Union has made great strides for all of us standing up against rigidly controlled common curriculum. Returning professional judgment to teachers and principals is something that is way over due in many districts around our state. Thanks again Bellevue for fighting the good fight.
